The Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is the primary airport in Minnesota and the largest airport in the state.
MSP is an international airport with service to destinations in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is also a major hub for Delta Air Lines and Sun Country Airlines, as well as a focus city for Southwest Airlines.
inneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport history began in 1928 when it was founded as Twin City Airport by William W. Wright. The current site of the airport was opened in 1952 and has had several expansions since then to accommodate growing traffic. The latest expansion started in 2007 and finished in 2016, adding a new terminal, concourses A through E, and an 8-lane freeway connecting to downtown Minneapolis.
