Tweed New Haven Airport is a public airport located in the town of East Haven, Connecticut, United States. It is owned by the city of New Haven and operated by Tweed New Haven Airport Authority, which also operates General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD).
Tweed is the smallest commercial airport in America. The airport serves about 500,000 passengers per year and offers many great services, such as free wifi and lounge space. The airport offers charter services, flight training schools, fuel service, hangars for aircraft storage and maintenance plus a variety of other aviation-related services. The most common destination for flights at Tweed is Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, Massachusetts.
Tweed New Haven Airport has been expanding rapidly to meet increased passenger demand with both international and domestic flights. In July 2017, HVN welcomed its first international flight from Porter Airlines. On September 12th 2017, Norwegian Air extended its service to the airport with flights to Europe. As the only Connecticut airport that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it has lots of opportunities for growth.
