Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is the largest airport in Utah and the primary airport serving the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The airport is located 4 miles west of downtown Salt Lake City.
SLC airport was originally built in 1911 as a small, privately owned airport. In 1925, the city of Salt Lake City took over the airport and renamed it Salt Lake Municipal Airport. The first major expansion of the airport took place in the late 1940s.
SLC is a hub for Delta Air Lines and serves as a focus city for Frontier Airlines. The airport has four main passenger terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, the North Concourse, and the South Concourse.
