Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is the primary airport serving the Greater Cleveland area in northeastern Ohio. It is the largest airport in the state and the 50th busiest airport in the United States. The airport is located in the city of Cleveland and is about 10 miles southwest of downtown.
The airport was originally built in 1925 and was named after its founder, former city manager William R. Hopkins. The airport was originally located in the suburbs of the city, but it was moved to its current location in 1930.
